SEND and Accessibility

At Elite, we believe in making a learning environment which is safe and supportive for all of our athletes, coaches and parents. 25% of the Elite team have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) which requires developing our knowledge especially around how we can help; we are always trying to learn more about this and adapt our sessions accordingly.

Understanding

We always strive to gain understanding of the needs of our athletes by working alongside their SEND plans from their schools and applying it to training. Every individual is different, and has different coping mechanisms. We seek to understand the individual so that we can help them on their learning journey and prevent overwhelm. We also work alongside the parent to create a triangle of trust. Elite aim to boost awareness of SEND, personalised learning and learning preferences.
